We’re a professional touring theatre company and this year we collaborated with East Staffs Council to bring the first outdoor Shakespeare to The Washlands in Burton on Trent.
We greatly strive to develop the outreach of the company and having been invited back to Burton to perform next year – we would very much like to work with local theatre groups, amateur dramatic societies and operatic societies to involve them in the project.
We are currently applying to the Arts Council for support for next year and part of our bid describes the work we would like to collaborate with local artists on.
The plan involves:
Audition technique/professional development workshops open to all creatives.
Guidance on training/representation and further career development.
The opportunity for local creatives to audition for the professional production.
We’d also be offering workshops during our performance week led by professional actors to all local groups to collaborate on an abridged version of a classical text that could be shown inbetween shows on the saturday of our performance week.
At the moment we’re simply seeking expressions of interest from local groups so that we could communicate with you at a later date and hopefully collaborate.
If you think the opportunity would be of interest to your group/members could you send us a short e-mail and let us know!
We hope to hear from you,
Justine, Director, Page-2-Stage Productions Ltd
