 LTC Playathon 2012

Once again, adult and youth members of LTC are holding a non-stop 12 hour mixture of play readings, sketches and musical moments at the Brewhouse in their Playathon 2012.

This year, there is something of a 1940s theme to part of the day with a tea dance and favourite music to help you trip the light fantastic.

There will be various stalls, drinks and refreshments available throughout the day to help you get you ‘In The Mood!’

 10am until 10pm

 Tuesday 11th- Saturday 15th September

The Mellow Dramatics are pleased to announce their next production: ‘Annie’ The show is staged in the depths of the 1930s; where we meet Annie who is an outspoken young girl who lives in an orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her hopeless situation changes for the better when she is selected to spend time at the residence of the wealthy, ‘Daddy’ Warbucks. The seemingly cold-hearted Warbucks cannot help but grow to love Annie. So much so that he decides to help Annie find her long lost parents.

Will Annie continue in ‘A Hard Knock Life’ or will ‘Tomorrow’ have it’s happily ever after?

 Without Planning Permission

A new kind of theatre event involving film, interactivity and performance. As the audience arrive, they watch a film and learn something of the neighbourhood in which they live. Then the event opens out and spectators journey round the space to discover some of the other characters who live there; a young man full of mischief, a grieving father, women on the lash, a soldier back from the war, a priest who sings…What links all these likeable characters is a story, an immediate crisis that affects everyone in the neighbourhood. The spectators make a decision to resolve the dilemma and then watch as the story unfolds in front of them, in a series of scenes all triggered by their decision.

 Chris Tye

When he speaks, you feel drawn to listen. It’s a talent that translates well to his songwriting, as people who have heard his music will attest.

This man is a rare talent – every word in every song fits perfectly with the mood. He reminds me of a young Louden Wainwright III, but somehow I feel that maybe he’s going to end up better!

Whether you’re an old hippy or a youngster into singer-songwriters you’ll love this guy.

Support from Ben Williams, himself a worthy talent and proof that you should never miss a support act!

Doors open 7.30pm for  8.00pm start
