Now into its 3rd year, our unique Summer Academy offers the most

exciting and fun-filled arts experience event in East Staffordshire.

 

Digital Acadamy

If you have an interest in creating digital music, film or photography or even if you want to give it a go for the first time, then our digital academy is for you.With expert tuition from professionals in music, film and photography, you’ll soon be creating a CD or DVD master piece you can take home to share with friends and family.

7-12 years . COST – £13 per day or £55 for 5 days

 

21st July & 5th August

Music Production

Ever wondered how modern music is produced? Want to learn how to be able to turn your music recordings into professional sounding tracks? It doesn’t matter whether you’re a budding producer dreaming of being the next Pharrell Williams or will.i.am or just a music fan wanting to get a behind the scenes insight into how your favourite music is made.

 22nd, 24th July & 7th August

Music Video Production and Dance

Join us and get creative as you make your very own pop video! If you have aspirations to be the next Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran and be a pop sensation we will give you the start you need. Day will consist of creating your track, creating a dance routine and filming it. You will work alongside a profession music producer, dance artist and film maker.

Film Production

Create your own short film using just 5 lines! In this session you have the opportunity to work with our professionals to create script, shoot and edit your very own film!

 

23rd July, 6th & 8th August

Music & Film Production

combining the best of both our music and film sessions, come along and both a go before deciding whether you want to produce a music track or short film.

 

World War 1 Academy

28th July – 1st August

rehearsals take place on Monday 4th August.

Here at The Brewhouse Arts Centre we will be commemorating 100 years since World War One by giving you the opportunity to create a piece to be performed in the Brewhouse production of ‘World War 1 in an Hour’. You will spend a week specialising and working with professionals in Music, Dance, Drama and Film as you work towards creating your piece. This will be performed on Monday 4th August at 7.00pm to full auditorium of VIP’s, friends and family.

10-16 years

TIME – 9.30am-3.30pm

Chance to Dance

East Staffs Dance Collective is the dance programme run by the Arts Team of the Borough Council, it runs school clubs, weekly classes, youth performance companies and additional projects and workshops throughout the Borough.

ESDC has a team of professional dance artists who work with around 10,000 people a year, aiming to make excellence in dance accessible to all young people in the Borough.

Open Sessions

Tuesday 22 July – Tuesday 26 August

Join us at the Brewhouse Arts Centre every Tuesday throughout the holidays. Classes are relaxed and a great way to get fit whilst having fun, making friends and learning some unique moves to the hottest tracks.

11-17 years
