on Saturday 23rd November at Stapenhill Church.
Hayley (18) began studying at Chetham’s School of Music when she was 11. Since then she has been an active performer, playing across the country as a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist and singer. Appearances include performances at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, BBC Proms 2011 as part of Mendelssohn’s Elijah and two performances at the Royal Festival Hall.
Hayley has also played in national competitions and music marathons including twice winner of the EPTA UK piano competition, winner of the Beethoven Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition as well as celebrations of chamber music, Haydn and Beethoven at the RNCM. Recent successes include winning joint 1st prize in the Chetham’s Bach Competition and in February 2013 Hayley made her debut with the Northern Chamber Orchestra in February 2013 for Britten’s Centenary Celebration. This autumn has seen the formation of her new chamber group ‘Trio a la fuga’ along with exciting concert prospects for the next season. November 2013 also marks Hayley’s first solo piano recital in the country’s capital.
Taking music outside of the concert hall, Hayley has participated in workshops at children’s hospices and taught locally in the Midlands encouraging young pianists to experience performing on stage for the first time. She was the Head Girl at Chetham’s School of Music and was chosen as an ambassador for Britain at the ‘Commonwealth Resounds’ conference in Perth, Australia 2011.
We hope you will support this bright young talent in her local town by purchasing tickets to this evening of piano music.
