Our Wednesday afternoon book club takes place on Wednesday 2nd October from 1:30pm – 2:30pm, so why not come and indulge your love of books?

Library Club

This month our Monday morning Library Club meets on Monday 7th October from 9:30am – 12pm. Come along to get some help choosing your books and a chat over a cuppa.

Family Learning Month

There will be a special Wildlife and Conservation Day in the library on Saturday 19th October. Activities will include making bird feeders, willow weaving, owls, and there will be information stalls and volunteering opportunities – come and find out how you can get involved. Admission is free but there may be a small charge for some activities.

Meet the Author event

Local author Brenda Ray will be in the library on Saturday 12th October from 12pm – 1pm to read from her book, Gondwanaland, and sell and sign copies. This is a free, drop-in event, with no need to book. Following this, on Thursday 31st October (times TBC) there will be another Meet the Author event featuring Caroline Shelley Lewis. Copies of her debut novel Jabez Payne: Eikon will be on sale (this event is in support of Black History month).

Reading Café

This month, we’re meeting on Tuesday 29th October for a chat about books you love with our friendly library staff. Drop by from 10am – 12pm for free refreshments, free books, and some great ideas for what to read next.
