RODSEC- Eyes Front.

Rolleston on Dove Special Events Committee
by arrangement with Live & Local proudly present

Isla St Clair is known to millions for her numerous television appearances, most notably as co-host with Larry Grayson on the BBC’s The Generation Game. However, her lovely voice and musical talent has earned her a long-standing musical career too, taking her from her roots learning to sing and play traditional songs in the North East of Scotland to performances all over the world.

Combining live performance and film footage, singer and television personality Isla St Clair presents Eyes Front; a delightfully nostalgic, poignant and humorous look at the effects of music in wartime. Accompanying herself on guitar, Isla sings traditional folk and popular songs about wartime dating from the Napoleonic era to the 1950s.

Joining Isla is film-maker Patrick King who gives a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at the making of his award winning documentaries. Using film clips, projected onto a large movie screen, and live music they illustrate how songs played such an important part of people’s daily lives.

This rich mix of song and film, including funny outtakes and rare archive footage, makes for a light-hearted family show that is both informative and entertaining with plenty of opportunities to join in.
