Burton Library March Events
This month our Monday morning Library Club meets on Monday 4th March from 9:30am – 12pm. Come along to get some help choosing your books and a chat over a cuppa.
Read All About It!
Our new Wednesday afternoon book group launches on Wednesday 6th March. It will run on the first Wednesday of the month from 1:30pm – 2:30pm, so why not come and indulge your love of books? At this first meeting, the group will be deciding which books to read for the next few months.
Jewellery Making Course
You can learn how to make your own jewellery on this 6 hour course, spread over two Friday mornings, 15th and 22nd March (9:30am – 12:30pm). The course costs £6 in total, with some concessions applying. Places must be booked in advance, on 01283 239556.
This month, we’re meeting on Tuesday 26th March for a chat about books you love with our friendly library staff. Drop by from 10am – 12pm for free refreshments, free books, and some great ideas for what to read next.
World Book Night
This night of great books being given away happens once a year across the UK, and we’re having a Quiz Night again to celebrate it! It’s on Tuesday 23rd April, starting at 7pm. £5 entry per team of 4, and the winning team takes the pot. And there will be some books for you to take and give out to help hook your own friends and family on the power of reading!
Our creative writing group meets in the library every Monday afternoon from 1:15 to 3:30pm. They welcome anyone over 19 writing in any genre. See their website for more details.
